This is why I don't ever drink wine.
Had three glasses of red wine last night and have done the following since waking up:
1) Woke up late.
2) Threw up
3) Almost fell down in the shower
4) Came to work and did nothing
5) Went home and took a two hour nap
6) Threw up again
7) Ate
So that's that.
Anyway, going to try and update the blog more often. Even if it's just short posts. Shooting for two times a week.
That'll be all for now.

Long time coming
Been out of touch for a while.
Summer is winding down here in the SBT and fall is almost upon us. Nights have been much cooler and you can just sense it in the air.
This also means fall sports are ready to begin and I'll start getting real busy at work. Fortunately we're starting a new web site dedicated to sports. It should be good and allow myself to do some things I have never done. It should allow me to become a more well-rounded journalist.
This is only a good thing, as I'm not sure where my mind has been at work the last couple of weeks. I sometimes feel like I'm just going through the motions. I'm not sure I've done anything in the last eight months that I'm super proud of. I'm not sure how much I've improved as a writer. I suppose the big thing is I'm not sure how much more I have to learn here. Hopefully with this new site I'll be able to do some new things. I suppose we'll see.
Socially, Gee's birthday was a couple weekends ago and that was a blast. Good times had by all, I think.
Other than that, it's pretty much the same old. Was dating a girl from the Czech Republic. For a lot of reasons it wasn't going to work. Sort of still seeing her, but I'm afraid she digs me way more than I dig her.
That could create some problems, just because she's young (21) and I really don't want to hurt her. But I don't want to contribute the time to dating her. I'm sort of in a stage where I just kind of want to do my own thing and not have to worry about someone else.
I mean there are things I like about her, but we really don't have a lot in common, our conversations are pretty lame and don't go in depth and she's a shade of crazy. Usually I like that, but she's a shade of crazy I'm not into.
Other than that, nothing really new on the ladies front. Ms. B broke up with her boyfriend, which I guess is of relevance. At one point I was thinking when they did break up I'd feel great about it and revel in it. It's actually been the exact opposite. I mean I was never the biggest fan of her boyfriend, but I do sort of feel bad for him.
As for her, I think it was established a while back that we could be friends and that should continue. Despite all things that have happened, I do enjoy having her in my life.
Other upcoming plans.
Have some buddies going to Austin for the CU-Texas game. Would love to go and am going to see if I can pull it together.
I've got a wedding to go to in early September for a high school friend. Me and this girl were good friends in high school and it's sort of weird/shocking to see her getting married. It's not that she's not a good catch — in fact I think she's a phenomenal catch. It's just the way it happened. She had been dating this guy for like eight months, they've never lived together and he's a relative unknown. But what do I know? I hope it works out for the best. On the plus side, I love weddings. I really do.
Excited for football season to start on so many levels.
here's the Bills records for the last three seasons.
2006 7-9
2007 7-9
2008 7-9
2009 What do you think dumbass?"
Exactly.
Hopefully CU gives me something to cheer for. I could see them winning as many as eight or nine games, but my gut says they go 7-5.
But it's nice to have football back in my life. It's the most glorious time of the year as far as I'm concerned.
How about them Rockies. It's fun to have a baseball team still in it. Especially with this team. The chemistry seems like it's so good, evidence by how they reacted when Spilly hit the walk-off grand slam. It's like a little league team out there playing.
Hopefully they can keep it going the next week with LA and SF on the slate. Huge couple of series here. They need these bad.
For now, that's all. Hopefully we'll be back more often with updates. In fact I promise....sort of.
